Baltimore Aircoil
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is leading the HVAC industry and its products are used all across the world. Like many other companies, one of the major ways that BAC continues to find new customers is by attending industry-specific tradeshows. In the past, when BAC attended tradeshows, a large part of their efforts was spent transporting the physical units to the tradeshow floor. These units are around 10 feet tall and weigh hundreds if not thousands of pounds, so getting them to a specific location and back is no easy feat.
As part of their commitment to sustainability, the BAC marketing team decided to utilize augmented reality (AR) to showcase two different products within the tradeshow setting. This was not only a resource-saving decision, but also allowed BAC to explain key product features in ways that were captivating and easy for tradeshow attendees to understand.
The Balti Virtual team leveraged their HypARlink platform and created animated 3D models of each specific feature within both BAC products. For instance, the TrilliumSeries™ Adiabatic Condenser and Nexus® Modular Hybrid Cooler were both broken out into six different HypARlinks that each highlighted features that set them apart from the competition. After tradeshow attendees learned about the Trillium and Nexus, they were able to take the augmented reality experience home with them to present their findings to friends, family and coworkers.
